Florida Lotto has distributed over $631
million to more than 218,000 winners of a 5/6 prize since 1988. Following are
two tables which show: a) The top ten Lotto 5/6 payouts per individual winner,
and b) The top ten number of Lotto 5/6 payout winners per draw.
Interesting to observe:
Seven of the top ten 5/6 Lotto payouts were awarded more than 13 years ago.
All of the
top ten 5/6 Lotto payouts
surpassed the $10,000 mark.
Nine of the
top ten 5/6 Lotto payouts were recorded in draws that produced rollovers [R].
[The number after "R" indicates the nth rollover
recorded during the draw].
Five of the
top ten 5/6 Lotto payouts were recorded after one rollover [R-1].
Four of the
top ten 5/6 Lotto payouts were recorded after two rollovers [R-2].
The 17
winners of draw # 1 on 7 May 1988 represent the smallest number of 5/6 winners
ever recorded.

Interesting to observe:
All top ten Lotto draws with the highest number of 5/6 payout winners also recorded
jackpot winners.
[The number after "J" indicates how many rollovers occurred prior
to the jackpot being won].
On two
occasions did more than 2,000 players collect a 5/6 payout.
On nine
occasions did more than 1,000 players collect a 5/6 payout [# 9 is not shown].
Draw # 60
with the highest number of 5/6 winners also recorded the lowest 5/6 payout ever.
Furthermore, that draw recorded the highest number of Lotto jackpot winners
ever, when 9 players shared $7 million. Only on two other occasions have 9
players shared a jackpot: on 23 Nov 1991 [$15.70 m] and on 31 Jul 1993 [$28.76
m].
Only once
since 1995 have more than 1,000 players collected a 5/6 payout - on 22 May 1999.
